Hello! Today, I’d like to leave a review 22 weeks after undergoing ptosis correction and incisional double-eyelid surgery. I’ll write honestly, hoping it helps those who are curious about the condition after enough time has passed 😊
Actually, this was my fourth surgery. The reason I first had surgery was because my eyelashes kept poking my eyes. I had double-eyelid surgery at another hospital when I was young, but over time, the line loosened and my upper eyelids became sunken, making the eye hollows look more pronounced. Maybe because of that, it gradually became harder to open my eyes, and my expression always looked tired.
Makeup was always tricky too. If I made it even a little heavy, my eyes looked overdone, but if I didn’t, they looked too faint, so I felt stressed every time I went out. Since this was revision surgery, I was really careful about choosing a hospital this time. After comparing several places, I came to know Dr. Lee Jun-hee at a plastic surgery clinic in Gangnam.
What I liked most during the consultation was that he examined the condition of my eyes very thoroughly. He explained exactly which parts had become problematic because of my previous surgeries, and instead of suggesting an excessive design, he consulted with me in the direction of creating a comfortable and natural-looking eye shape, so I felt I could trust him.
After the consultation, I thought, “Ah, I can trust this place and leave it to them.” The clinic atmosphere was clean and the staff were kind, so overall it felt comfortable 😊
The first thing I noticed right after surgery was that opening my eyes had become really comfortable. Before, I had to put in a lot of effort to open my eyes, but that discomfort definitely decreased. The swelling and pain were also much less than I had expected, so I worried a lot less about recovery.
I was also able to receive swelling-management laser treatment for free, and with each session, I could feel the swelling noticeably going down. Each time I received care, my eyes felt much softer, so personally, my satisfaction was high.
I’m currently 22 weeks post-op, and now I definitely feel that the line has fully settled. There is almost no residual swelling, and I no longer have to worry about morning swelling. Even when I smile or make facial expressions, my eyes move naturally, and I don’t feel any awkwardness at all.
People around me don’t even know I had surgery and often tell me, “Your eyes look clearer” and “Your impression looks much more relaxed,” so I’m even more satisfied. Since it was revision surgery, I was very worried about scarring, but now it doesn’t show at all with makeup, and even bare-faced, it’s not noticeable unless someone looks very closely.
More than anything, the biggest change is that my eyes have become truly comfortable. Even when I’m active for long periods, my eyes don’t get tired easily, and daily life has become much more comfortable.
Even after surgery, Dr. Lee Jun-hee carefully checked my progress, which made me feel very reassured. He regularly checked my condition, and I was able to receive aftercare without feeling burdened, so I think the recovery process was much more stable. Since I had many worries because it was revision surgery, looking at the results now, I really feel that it was the right choice.
From consultation to surgery and aftercare, they paid close attention throughout, so my satisfaction is really high. I would like to recommend Dr. Lee Jun-hee at a plastic surgery clinic in Gangnam to those who have experienced discomfort from previous surgery or who want natural and comfortable-looking eyes. Now that 22 weeks have passed, I am truly satisfied with the results! 😄
