1. At the hospital in Busan where I had my first surgery: removal cost is low, accessibility is good, and they know my nasal condition and surgical status well. I’m not sure whether they have expertise in removal. The consultation will probably be important. (If they say complete removal is difficult, that the nose will collapse, or give a lukewarm response, I’ll request the surgical records and photos, then look for a hospital specializing in removal.)
2. At a removal-specialized hospital in Seoul: removal cost is expensive (at least 4 million KRW + extra), accessibility is bad (over 8 hours round trip). But since I want this to be my last surgery, I wonder if it’s worth the investment. I don’t want to have any more nose surgery in the future. I’d have to go at least 4 times: once for the consultation, once for surgery, once to remove the splint and nasal packing, and once to remove stitches. Transportation alone would probably cost at least 600,000 KRW (planning to go by car with family).
I live outside Seoul, and my nose has no inflammation or abnormalities, but I want to remove everything because of the foreign-body sensation, anxiety, and dissatisfaction with the shape.. If it were you, which would you choose, 1 or 2??
Also, if anyone here also lives outside Seoul and had removal done in Seoul, please share your valuable experience.. If you have any tips, could you share them too?
If I go to Seoul, would it be better to just book a cheap place to stay? Rather than going back and forth? If you know any decent accommodations, please recommend them too.
And is it only possible to have a consultation at least 6 months after surgery? I had surgery in February this year, so I want to have a consultation around July and surgery around early August.. Are removal-specialized hospitals usually fully booked too?
