I remembered it after a long time, so I brought a review from more than 6 months later..! (Actually, I think it’s been almost 9 months;;? The photos were probably taken around 8 months..!?)
I’ve started exercising again now, and the discomfort has decreased a lot, so I’m adapting pretty well..!
It would be annoying to look back at my previous posts, so.. what I had done was as follows..!
Implants: Motiva Demi 380/380 (Since my breast asymmetry wasn’t severe, the subtle difference was corrected with fat obtained while removing accessory breast fat, upper arm fat, and fat from the front/inner thighs)
Incision: inframammary incision, dual plane
I really had almost no base volume, and when I cut weight during season, I tend to get a pigeon chest and the bones above my breasts show first, so although my body could have done subfascial placement, I went with dual plane..!
My body is really... muscular and tends to get tight easily, so the stiffness throughout my whole body was worse than I expected.. And well... I’m a bit dramatic about pain, so I went really slowly with stretching and exercise.
Still, now I’ve recovered enough to actually do strength training, and the scars from the inframammary incisions have faded a lot, so I feel pretty good.
That... the underwear I had only used as nipple covers until now now has to fit snugly to my breasts and support them.. That was the most awkward and hard, like it would make me feel indigested, but I’ve gotten much more used to that too..!!
Today, to adapt a little better..! I thought I’d share some care tips especially for muscular body types like mine..!
People with muscular body types will roughly know when I mention exercise names, right???
First, it’s good to start with the stretches recommended by the hospital..! And once you get used to them, I highly recommend installing a pull-up bar at home and literally hanging from it whenever you can..! It really stretches out the shoulders-scapulae-latissimus dorsi that were hunched up from pain..!
For people who do Pilates, using a ball between the shoulder and armpit and letting yourself stretch doooown feels amazing too..!
Once you’ve stretched like this and opened up your hunched body a bit, it’s good to try anaerobic exercise little by little. Most upper-body exercises will help, but with weight appearing on the chest where there wasn’t any before, people who have lumbar lordosis may have worsening symptoms, so strengthen again with deadlifts and squats.. (Since it had been a while, and the front/back weight balance had changed, I really couldn’t get my form right at first)
What I like most these days is doing incline chest presses on the Smith machine..! When you do chest presses on the Smith machine, the lowering motion stretches all the chest muscles ooooout, and it feels so relieving... This seriously changed everything for me..!
And lateral raises were also more helpful than I expected. No one really does lateral raises with perfectly strict form, right??? It actually seems to strengthen from multiple angles as the surrounding muscles get involved too??
Lat pulldowns go without saying~~~
Anyway, recovery can’t be complete with only massage and stretching..!! I really want to emphasize that..!!
I hope everyone keeps going to the hospital regularly after surgery, gets progress checks properly, takes good care of scars... and works out hard to build a body they love..!!
They said that massaging too strongly where the implants are can instead make the fascia thicker, so be careful about that!!
Good night, everyone..!!
