Review after more than 3 months since double eyelid surgery with canthoplasty (epicanthoplasty + lateral canthoplasty) After double eyelid surgery, I feel like I look like a completely different person... People around me say they can’t remember what I used to look like...
But while getting through the 1st and 2nd months, something happened, so I was really upset. The hospital told me to come in for a follow-up after one month had passed, so that was the day I went. You know how even if you make an appointment a month in advance, there are often times when you just can’t make it... About a week before, I called the hospital because of the appointment and wanted to change the date, but they said changing the date would be difficult. So I told them I would change the time instead and come then, and they said okay. So on the appointment day, I went at the changed time, but they said the doctors were in surgeryㅠ They acted like it was only natural for me to wait, and the appointment time hadn’t even been changed. After waiting for over an hour, I finally met the doctor, but the follow-up took about 3 minutes? and then it was over. It felt so empty. Everyone, even if you make a hospital appointment and don’t hear anything from the hospital, please make sure to double-check before you go...! Oh, and please know that on the day you go for a follow-up, they really don’t do anything! I went thinking I should talk about this and that because things were bothering me, but they told me to tell them all of that after 6 months.
Right now, the outer corners of my eyes are settling into a line different from the incision direction. It should be okay, right...? I’m worried the outer corner line might settle in a drooping positionㅠ Even so, I really like my eye surgery!
There were some minor troubles with the appointment and consultation with the manager, but the hospital doctors’ surgical skill is amazing...! (There were troubles, but the ending was still good^^)
It’s definitely still swollen, and the area where I had lateral canthoplasty is redㅠㅠ It shows even more when I wear makeup... I think my swelling went down muuuuuuch faster than the swelling of people I know around me! I’m already looking forward to one year later...! But the line has already gotten thinnerㅜㅜㅜ Ah, it somehow still seems thick though,,, hmm... I think people who want a thick line might be better off setting it so thick at first that it feels really too thick... Still, before surgery, the doctors choose the line that suits you best, so it’s okay to trust them and leave it to them!
I’m so, so satisfied with my eyes, and I think mine turned out a thousand times better than other acquaintances who got double eyelid surgery at other hospitals!
