I had removal surgery because of silicone and nasal tip show-through, but my nasal tip has become even pointier than before... I also developed a dent on the nasal bridge.. The hospital where I had surgery says they’ll do A/S if I only pay the anesthesia fee (500,000 won). They say they’ll trim the nasal tip cartilage and place dermis (MegaDerm) over it. But since my skin is extremely thin and the tip is high, that’s why it shows through, so I’m wondering if simply trimming and covering it would just be a temporary fix
I’m also going around to other hospitals, and after consultations, the surgical methods differ slightly, but they all say that to get rid of the show-through, it’s right to lower the nasal tip a little.
Hospital A: Slightly trim only the cartilage placed on the nasal tip + dermal reinforcement (as an A/S-type light touch-up) -> almost no change in nasal tip height Hospital B: Remove the cartilage placed on the nasal tip + widen by adding ear cartilage onto the septal support strut + dermal reinforcement -> nasal tip lowered by about 1 mm Hospital C: Remove the cartilage placed on the nasal tip + lower the septal support strut + dermal reinforcement -> nasal tip lowered by about 3 mm
Also, after removing the silicone, my nose started looking crooked, and hospitals are saying different things about this too. Some places say it can be corrected with osteotomy, while others say osteotomy is risky and it’s better not to do it.. The opinions are divided, so I’m worried.
I want to touch it as little as possible and have it become naturally my own nose I really shouldn’t have any more surgery now....
What would be the best method? For people who developed nasal tip show-through like me, is there anyone who had revision surgery?
