I had surgery with Director OSM at DSH. It’s day 1, and right now I have a bandage wrapped around my chest. Aside from feeling stuffy when eating and breathing because it’s wrapped tightly, I have no incision pain at all. They told me to remove the bandage in two days, so I’m going to hang in there a little longer.
I had seen a lot of reviews saying it hurts at first and then gets better afterward, so I deliberately scheduled the surgery for Friday so I could rest over the weekend, but it’s definitely not painful enough that I need to rest because of it. Since it’s a sensitive area, I had mentally prepared myself a lot.
I felt totally fine, so right after the surgery I even ate by myself nearby and took public transportation home. The surgery moved quickly and ended quickly. I went into the operating room at 12:30 and went home at 2:30. It was uncomfortable because the bed locker room was completely full, but seeing patients keep coming into the beds next to me made me feel reassured that a lot of people get surgery here. Since there’s no pain, it doesn’t really feel real that I had surgery, so for now I’ll get my stitches removed and write another review.
