I went to consultations at all the clinics, including the three major ones, for nasal implant removal + nasal tip reconstruction, and I liked the last two places, so I’m going back for one more consultation at each next week and the week after! The overall opinions at the two places were similar, and the cost is in the 8 million won range at ㄱㅇㅅ and in the 9 million won range at ㅇㄷㅇㅇㅇ. (This will be my 4th surgery, and because I have contracture + cartilage showing through + a severely deviated columella, they said the difficulty is about 7 out of 10 haha)
What I’m debating is...
1. I have a chronic muscle condition that makes anesthesia somewhat difficult, and ㅇㄷㅇㅇㅇ seemed to have a high level of understanding of that condition. My primary doctor told me that nasal implant removal surgery is possible, but I still feel that knowing about the condition in an emergency might help with how they respond.
2. Aesthetically, ㅇㄷㅇㅇㅇ also seemed to have a bit more sense. My midface is long, so the key is how much they lower my nose that has been lifted by contracture. (If they lower it too much, my face will look even longer) The director picked up on that right away and said they wouldn’t lower it too much, whereas at ㄱㅇㅅ, I brought it up first, and then they recognized it and said they would try to lower it well to suit my face.
3. But for some reason, I’m a little more drawn to ㄱㅇㅅ. I feel like there must be a reason it’s one of the three major places, and I felt trust from the more energetic-than-expected director + the hospital brochure and things like that. It also felt like they had deeper experience and seniority, so to speak... And ㅇㄷㅇㅇㅇ had an overall negative aura, while ㄱㅇㅅ had a positive aura, like “this much is manageable.”
In this situation, where would it be better to do it I’m planning surgery for early next month, so please help me..!
