Nose Surgery Reviews

I’m 2 weeks post-op after male nose surgery.

My nasal bridge was high, so I had been satisfied with my side profile, but I had a severe bulbous nose and wanted to improve the blunt-looking impression I had when viewed from the front. I tend to be careful with every decision, and I had heard that rhinoplasty is a cosmetic surgery with many possible side effects, so I looked through cosmetic surgery apps, social media, and blogs and researched it very thoroughly. Among them, I visited about five places that looked good, and in the end, I chose Director Kim Hyun-joo at a plastic surgery clinic because the aesthetic sense was not excessive but still clearly improved the nose, and lifetime aftercare was available. For my rhinoplasty plan, I had bulbous nose correction, alar reduction, silicone for the nasal dorsum, and autologous costal cartilage.

There are many places where the nose is packed for 3 days after nose surgery, but because the director’s surgical skill is excellent, I only had to keep my nose packed for one day, which was comfortable. As for the nose area, aside from not being able to wash my face properly until the splint was removed, there was no discomfort. However, the autologous costal cartilage donor site is still aching even now, in the 3rd week after surgery, so that part is a bit uncomfortable..

As for my nose, I had fractured my nasal bone in an accident before, so I couldn’t go as far as osteotomy. At first, I thought the change was not as dramatic as I had expected. But as time passes and the swelling goes down, I can see the line settling well, and people around me say I look like I lost weight or somehow became better-looking if I don’t tell them I had surgery. So I actually like that it doesn’t look obvious and seems to have turned out well.
