Nose Re-Surgery

Concerns and review about hospitals for nasal implant removal due to anxiety

First of all, so far I’ve been to three places: ㅅㅅㅇ, ㅅㅇ, and ㅊㅁ. I understand that over 10 years ago, I had surgery at a factory-style clinic with an I-shaped silicone implant + ear cartilage (though I could be wrong), and because the cartilage inside my nose is being compressed and protruding, I wanted total removal, so I went for consultations. All three hospitals said the surgery was not urgent. But I feel so anxious that I want to remove it while everything is still fine. I don’t have photos of my original nose, but it was short and low.

ㅅㅇ - Confident consultation The director felt very T-like. Total removal is possible, and because the hump was shaved down, there could be a saddle nose risk. It was my first time learning in detail about the structure(?), and since it was my first consultation I couldn’t ask many questions, but they led the consultation and wrapped it up. After agreeing to photos for silicone removal + cartilage repositioning, the quote was a little under 5 million won. They said I might need a splint and nasal packing for about a week, and that they would also provide a laser(?) service when I come in. An anesthesiology specialist is on site, and the facilities were the best. Consultation + CT fee: 30,000 won

ㅊㅁ - Personally, it didn’t really suit me They recommended using AlloDerm. The part about applying insurance for rhinitis surgery actually felt like a negative point to me. They reassured me by saying my nose surgery would be very, very easy and showed me photos of extremely difficult noses. But the wait was long, and the consultation with the manager was also not great. Since I didn’t agree to facial photos, the quote was almost 6 million won. It felt like they didn’t take the parts I consider important very seriously, so I’m passing. It was good that they took a CT and consulted based on it. They emphasized a short recovery period too much. Consultation + CT: 27,500 won

ㅅㅅㅇ - The only place that said I didn’t necessarily need surgery But when I said I wanted it because of the psychological stress, they said it was possible. Simple silicone removal was inexpensive, but because there were several possible scenarios, the cost was similar to ㅅㅇ or a little higher, and slightly cheaper than ㅊㅁ. The director wrote the chart by hand, didn’t take a CT, and only palpated the nose. I saw many reviews saying the manager wasn’t kind, but from my perspective they were kind enough and explained things in detail. Because my nasal tip is high, they said that if needed, septal cartilage + unused ear cartilage could also be used to balance it. The costs seemed transparent. No splint, nasal packing for a few days, taping yes. My heart is leaning toward ㅅㅅㅇ, but I forgot to ask about an anesthesiologist or CCTV. The facilities were a bit old, but the inside was clean. Consultation fee: 10,000 won

I’m not looking for an amazing aesthetic result, so I think ㅅㅅㅇ might be okay, but I’m still torn. ㅍㄹㅁ said the earliest consultation reservation is possible at the end of March, so I booked and am waiting, and I’m debating ㄱㅇㅅ because I heard the surgery fee is expensive. Is visiting only three places too little legwork?
