I only had one procedure done, square jaw surgery, which was the area I was most concerned about, and to start with the conclusion, I am extremely satisfied. I even think I should have done it a bit earlier! For people whose concern is not just “I look okay now, but I want to become a little prettier,” but something that has been a complex since childhood, I think you’ll be really satisfied.
I was looking for a hospital that offered sleep anesthesia + square jaw surgery through behind the ear + pursued a natural look, and ended up choosing Bondi. The director explained everything very thoroughly and kindly during the consultation, and also asked in detail about the line I wanted.
Recovery takes about a month, and rather than pain, the discomfort from swelling was the bigger issue. For me, the pain was almost nonexistent except for the first one or two hours on the day of surgery..?
For the first 2 weeks after surgery, I was reluctant to go out because of bruising and swelling. At one month, I was at a level where I could go outside, and after about two to three months, the major swelling was all gone and there was no obvious sign that I had surgery. Just wait it out.
At one week after surgery, the swelling was so severe that I got mentally overwhelmed and even left a long message for the hospital, but I liked that they called me at times like that and reassured me lolololol. Anyway, I have absolutely no regrets about having the surgery now, and even if I went back in time, I would definitely do it again haha. Still, it is a major surgery, so please choose carefully!
