I’m writing this because I remember feeling frustrated while researching since there weren’t many reviews for thin double eyelids. I originally had thin inner double eyelids, but they were uneven, and I’m now on day 18 after surgery. I went to a total of 3 consultations, and I chose the place that designed the prettiest line for me.
During the consultation, I mainly talked about these points: - I did not want to change my current gentle impression (I thought the inner corners of my eyes created that feeling, and the director agreed, so we decided not to do canthoplasty) - I wanted an inline shape that felt like just adding a line to my original eyes (we first discussed 6 mm, but I changed it to 5 mm right before surgery / the distance between my eyebrows and eyes is narrow, and my midface is on the longer side) - I said I wanted the outer corners of my eyes to extend long and straight, but the director said there was a limit to the length that could be fixed because of my natural brow bone structure, so I accepted that - For reference photos, I brought photos of Shuhua and showed them
I didn’t have any major dissatisfaction with my original eyes, so I thought about it a lot until the very end, (I decided on double eyelid surgery because as I got older, I wanted a slightly more mature look + my eyes were gradually getting smaller) so I’m sharing my final requests in case they help everyone with eyes similar to mine!
<Final requests to the director>
1. [Most important] Detail of the inner corners * I really dislike the look where the line at the inner corner floats and makes the eyes look blank. Please make the inner part start as thinly as possible, sitting closely against the eye. * Please start with a very low inline shape so my impression does not become strong, and the key point is that the inner part should not protrude or look puffy.
2. How the line develops (pupil to outer end) * Please make the line almost invisible near the epicanthal fold, then gradually appear from the point where the pupil begins. * I want the front to be slim, but for the line to become slightly thicker toward the back and extend in a refreshing, open-looking way.
3. Horizontal lengthening and tail shape * Even if my actual eye length is short, please draw the double eyelid line long and parallel toward the back so my eyes look horizontally longer. * I want a line where the outer tail does not curl roundly, but extends straight and only finishes very gently at the end.
4. Overall direction * Even if it later lowers like an inner double eyelid, that’s okay. Please make it look natural, as if I did and didn’t do anything, with only the eyes looking clearer and longer.
The swelling went down a lot around 2 weeks, and I think I’ll be even more satisfied once the minor swelling goes down. I hope this can be a reference for everyone who wants to improve only the eyes slightly without changing their impression too much. I hope everyone gets the pretty eyes they want!! ☺️
