📌 Concerns before the procedure 11 years ago, I had double eyelid surgery using the incisional method, but within a year, the double eyelid on my left side completely came undone, and the right side had almost come undone as well. In particular, my right eye looked like a semi-outfold because the in-out line overlapped with the epicanthoplasty scar, and that line kept bothering me. I also tend to use a lot of forehead strength when opening my eyes, so forehead wrinkles were gradually forming. I had been recommended ptosis correction in the past but did not do it, and that remained a regret, so this time I decided to have double eyelid revision surgery and ptosis correction together. Rather than factory-style clinics, I mainly looked for clinics run by a single chief director, and I wanted to find a place that would not excessively recommend additional procedures.
📌 Consultation experience During the consultation, both the consultant and Director Lee Hee-young were very kind, and they explained everything in detail, so I felt I could trust them. I wanted a natural in-out line while improving the epicanthoplasty scar, but some other clinics recommended epicanthoplasty reversal or a semi-outfold line. However, at Uni, they explained that surgery could be done in a way that made the scar stand out as little as possible, even without necessarily doing epicanthoplasty reversal, and they said that the natural in-out line + ptosis correction I wanted would be fully achievable. The fact that they did not excessively expand the surgical scope actually made me trust them more. On the day of surgery as well, they checked the design several times and carefully adjusted the line and thickness, and they explained the process during surgery too, so I felt much more psychologically at ease. After surgery, in the recovery room, the director personally checked on me once more, which made me feel they were very attentive.
📌 Procedure results At present, even the stitches have been removed, and the line has settled well into the natural in-out line I wanted. It is not too high or excessive, but still gives a defined look, so I am satisfied. The swelling also seems to be going down faster than expected, and there is almost no bruising, so I feel the recovery has been relatively easy. Maybe because I had ptosis correction together, I am also satisfied that the feeling of opening my eyes by straining my forehead, like before, has decreased. When I went to have the stitches removed, they carefully checked the condition of the line and continued to check whether I had any discomfort, and they also did a swelling laser treatment, so I felt reassured about the aftercare as well. For reference, they said they paid extra attention during surgery to the pre-existing epicanthoplasty mark, and perhaps because of that, there is currently a little more swelling remaining in my right eye than my left. Right now it looks slightly uneven, but I really like the line itself, so I am waiting for the swelling to go down.
📌 Additional thoughts Because it was revision surgery, I had a lot of concerns, but what I liked most was that they did not push excessive surgery and tried to match things as much as possible within the direction I wanted. For those who want a natural in-out line, especially those who feel burdened because it is revision surgery, I think it would be okay to get a consultation. So far, I am satisfied and recovering 😊
