I wasn’t in a state where ptosis correction was absolutely necessary. An incisional double eyelid alone would have been enough, but they gave me it as an option. Since I was already doing it, I thought it would be nice if my eyes looked more defined, and I saw many good results from people who only had ptosis correction without canthoplasty, so I chose to get incisional ptosis correction. During the consultation, I said I wanted a thin inline crease. This is a photo taken at the 1-week mark, so there is still swelling, and it’s a raw photo with the taping still on. I think my eyes didn’t even close all the way back then. I kept the taping on until day 7, and since it will soon be 2 weeks, I’m going in for a follow-up. They’re going to check whether it’s overcorrected or not, and if needed, they said they’ll do an early correction then. I’m doing cold compresses diligently so the swelling goes down quickly, and I’m trying not to strain my eyes as much as possible, so I’m not touching them either.
