My bridge was originally low, and my nose looked wide overall, so I was so stressed every time I took photos. I was especially bothered by the bulbous nose look and the drooping, rounded nasal tip that gave it a “dragon nose” feel, and what I hated most was that the center of my face looked undefined.
This time, I went on a consultation tour to 3 places and compared them a lot. During the consultation at Mighty, they pinpointed my concerns the most accurately, so I listened closely. I said I wanted a nearly straight, slightly curved line, and they explained that we should look at improving the bridge, nasal tip, and bulbous nose, along with the balance of the columella.
They discussed proceeding based on autologous costal cartilage, and if needed, shaping the bridge line with 4–5 mm silicone. For the nasal tip, they talked about a plan to improve both the bulbous nose and the drooping feel. They also recommended alar reduction, and since they said my case would look more refined if done together, I ultimately proceeded with that as well.
What I liked was that they didn’t only say positive things, but also honestly explained the limitations. Because my skin is on the thicker side, they told me in advance that some of the original alar feel could remain, which actually made me trust them more.
Now after surgery, the bulbous nose and dragon-nose feel have definitely decreased, and the columella has come down without looking unnatural, making the centerline of my nose much clearer. Before, whenever I took photos, my nose bothered me first, but now my whole face looks more refined, and that’s what I’m most satisfied with 🥹
Rather than feeling like I got a completely different person’s nose, it feels like my nose was refined in a sophisticated way that suits my face, so I like it even more. I was really worried because I have thick skin, but the line came out better than expected, so I keep thinking I should’ve done it sooner.
