It’s been over a month since I had nose surgery, and I started having nasal congestion around the one-month mark. I shone a flashlight inside, and it seemed like the nasal valve? on the left side was extremely narrow, while the right side was wide, so I think that may be why. There’s also a wheezing sound when I breathe Before surgery, I had a CT scan, so I did know that I had a deviated nasal septum. But before surgery, my nose was low, so I couldn’t tell even when I put my finger inside. After surgery, since my nose became higher, I can feel the deviation really clearly when I touch it. Also, my nose was originally slightly deviated to the right, but now that it’s higher, maybe the left side is being pressed down more, so my nostrils are uneven too. Because of gravity, when I lie on my right side, the left side gets pressed more, making it uncomfortable to breathe… It’s not blocked all the time; there are times when it’s bad and times when it doesn’t bother me. In cases like this, will the breathing discomfort not improve over time and stay the same? If it keeps staying the same, I’m wondering whether it would be better to remove it sooner.
