It’s already been 3 months since I had liposuction for my double chin. Time really flies… At first, I had to wear a compression band, and because of the bruising and swelling, I wondered if I had done it for nothing, but now I’m completely satisfied.
First of all, most of the major swelling is gone. Even up to months 1–2, the area under my chin felt hard and lumpy, but by 3 months it had softened a lot. Sometimes in the morning it feels slightly swollen, but it’s to the point that other people would never notice, only I can tell?
The best part is my side profile. The double chin that used to fold when I lowered my head is almost gone. Now that I have a jawline, my face looks much smaller, and I feel less stressed even when photos are taken from below. Before, I always had to keep my head held stiffly upright, but now it looks fine even when I take photos naturally.
I hear people ask if I lost weight a lot. My weight is the same, but maybe because my face looks more defined, they say my impression looks cleaner. It doesn’t look overly obvious, just like “Oh? Something changed,” so I like it even more.
As for sensation, there is still a slightly numb area under my chin. But it doesn’t affect daily life at all, and it feels like it’s gradually coming back. The scars are barely visible too, so I don’t have to worry about them.
In conclusion… if you can mentally get through the initial swelling, I think satisfaction starts going up from month 3. If double chin stress was severe, honestly, I think I’d recommend it.
