I was someone who thought that when you look at a face, the eyes make a big difference in the overall image. So when I first had double eyelid surgery 2 years ago, I hoped my eyes would look bigger, and after only getting double eyelid surgery, I wasn’t satisfied, so I ended up adding lower canthoplasty after the clinic recommended it. At first, my eyes looked much more opened up, so I felt like it was okay, but as time passed, the unnatural look didn’t decrease at all, and I don’t know if the fixation was done wrong or the canthoplasty itself was done wrong, but my eyelashes curled upward and kept poking my eyes.. Because of this, I was so stressed in daily life. I thought about getting AS at the clinic, but I didn’t think I could trust getting aftercare from the clinic that had already ruined my eyes, so I looked for clinics mainly based on eye specialists / places with many revision surgery reviews / places with many canthoplasty restoration reviews. While I was continuing to look into clinics, I saw a review about entropion correction and canthoplasty restoration at Ollo that had been posted, and I searched through everything from the clinic homepage to app reviews and community cafe reviews to check whether it was a place many people with cases similar to mine went to, and then I went. During the consultation, the director looked at my eyes and said that first, the right lower canthoplasty needed partial restoration, and that both eyes needed entropion surgery. They said that was how the parts I was currently finding uncomfortable would improve a lot. And after looking at my double eyelid line, they said it would be better to slightly extend the partial incision and balance the eyes as well. Honestly, this was such a minor part that I had been pretending not to notice it too (I also didn’t want to say anything unpleasant to the clinic where I had surgery just because the two sides were a little different..) But I was a bit surprised that they caught that exact part and talked about it. I felt that if the director examined my eyes this thoroughly, I could trust them with canthoplasty restoration surgery, so I booked the surgery. I couldn’t take a long vacation, so after surgery I only rested over the weekend and went straight back to work, but as you can see in the photos, thankfully the operated area didn’t have severe bruising or swelling. Even though I had lower canthoplasty restoration + entropion surgery, the incision-line scar under the eyes was not as noticeable as I expected, so there wasn’t much of a problem with daily life. At one week, the redness had almost completely disappeared, and when looking at the eyelashes of my right eye, where the restoration was done, I could see that the eyelashes that had been lifted upward had naturally come down! I was also worried that after canthoplasty restoration, my eyes might look too small instead, or that they might look unnatural?? But only the overly opened look improved, and the functional part also got better, so I’m satisfied. For reference, it had only been two months since I had the canthoplasty, but these side effects developed, and before I missed the timing any further, I hurried and got restoration surgery I do think waiting it out is definitely necessary with plastic surgery, but honestly, I feel like that only applies to swelling, and for everyone who feels functional discomfort like I did, I really hope you get restoration surgery before it gets any later
