My condition
My nasal bones are crooked due to trauma from a long time ago
My nasal septum is deviated, so breathing on the left side is not smooth
------------------------------------- Today I had a consultation with ㅈㅇㅈ at Asan
They looked with an endoscope and asked, do you know your nasal septum is deviated?
-I know
When are you going to have surgery?
-I want to fix my crooked nose too.
Let’s schedule the surgery well
-I want to know the cost first.
Go consult with the counselor next to you
They said the surgery would be done by open incision under general anesthesia, and that ear cartilage or costal cartilage could be used for the nasal septum.
I knew that when straightening the nasal septum, septal cartilage is removed
When doing surgery for a deviated septum, after removing some cartilage, do they reinforce the nasal septum with the remaining septal cartilage or ear or costal cartilage?
I thought the professor would explain the surgical process, but I was told the counselor does it.
I thought they would take a CT scan and explain the surgical process and such, but they immediately said to set a surgery date, so I was flustered.
ps. I had originally booked an appointment for January next year
but changed it after watching online for reservation changes.
When I entered the consultation room, there was a foreigner there
so it seemed like a foreign doctor had come to learn.
The surgery cost is a bit higher than I expected....
