As you can see, I originally had double eyelids, but they weren’t the style I wanted, and when I wore a mask only my eyes showed, so I often heard that I somehow looked masculine One eye had multiple double eyelid folds + sleepy-looking eyes + a stuffy-looking eye shape. When I looked in the mirror, that was my biggest source of stress.... So after thinking about it, I firmly decided I should get eye surgery, and while looking into it, I saw that other people tended to avoid having surgery by incision, but when I was looking for a clinic from the beginning, my biggest worry was the line coming undone, so I focused on incisional methods from the start. I already had double eyelids, but the line was thin and lacked strength, so I was extremely worried that if I had surgery, more overlapping creases might form or the line might become faint So when I went for consultations, I asked most importantly about fixation strength, and at the clinic where I had surgery, they said a partial-incision method was also possible. I asked whether there was any chance it could come undone with a partial incision, and they said that because the skin above my eyes was not particularly thick, it would be possible to achieve enough fixation even with a partial incision, and because eyelid ptosis correction would be done together, they could also help the line stay firmly maintained, so I decided on the partial-incision method. Before surgery, even though I had double eyelids, my eye-opening strength was weak, so I looked very sleepy, and the inner corners of my eyes looked stuffy because of the Mongolian folds + overall my eyes were short, so my impression looked stuffy and not clear... haha After surgery, because it was done with partial incision, the line does not feel thick, and it became clearer in a way that feels like my original double eyelids were tidied up, so I like it. Thanks to the eyelid ptosis correction, my eye-opening strength became stable, so the sleepy-looking impression disappeared a lot too. I also had epicanthoplasty and lower canthoplasty together, and rather than looking excessively widened, it feels like the Mongolian folds at the inner corners were cleaned up + my impression became softer from the lower canthoplasty, so I was able to get away from the masculine image, and my eye shape looks much more open than before. They say partial incision recovers faster than full incision, but even with partial incision, major swelling lasts about 2-3 weeks, so I think it may be unreasonable to assume the recovery period will be very short just because it is partial incision. (Of course, it depends on the person.) Until the eye shape becomes somewhat natural, at least about one month is needed, so I think it would be best to leave some leeway and set aside plenty of time.
