I had no strength in my eyes, and it was so hard walking around frowning because of the overlapping creases, so while going around for double-eyelid surgery consultations, I found a secret(?) one-doctor clinic that does zero advertising, KL Plastic Surgery in Apgujeong. Because they don’t do events or ads, there were soooo few photo reviews I think I seriously worried about it a million times. After thinking it over, the reviews I found were all so good, so I went, and the consultation was fine too. I think it’s a place worth recommending if you’re someone who doesn’t have huge ambitions about changing your appearance. **Honestly, since they don’t even do events, I figured there probably aren’t many people who post photos of their own surgical eyes, so I understand why there aren’t many reviews**
Pros The director is kind, like a pediatrician Pursues a natural line (buried suture method) / no longer performs incision surgery (age-related issue) Postoperative care is for 1 year, but it didn’t feel like they especially take care of much (if the surgery goes well, there’s no real need to go back anyway) The director’s experience is tremendous While searching reviews, I never saw any story here about a total disaster (the dissatisfaction review I did see was that the line was too natural)
Cons(?) Because they don’t do events, the price is expensive They proceed with local anesthesia, not sedation anesthesia The facilities are somewhat old, but they feel cozy
Conclusion: I got the surgery and I think it went well. I only have slight bruising at the ends, and I had been terrified of local anesthesia, but it was a tolerable level of pain, so it seems much better than sedation anesthesia where I’d be suspicious/worried about a shadow doctor. There’s still swelling, but I like the line, and overall it was fine. Anyway, all the hard work searching online and going to consultations was worth it! The director’s mindset is so good, and the skill... seems like a hidden master. The director is older, but I hope they keep practicing for a long, long time, so even though it’s a bother, I’m leaving a review like this.
