Personally, I’m extremely satisfied with my double eyelid surgery. But I think it took about 2 years just for the swelling to go down. My eyes originally had a lot of flesh, and they were the kind of eyes that wouldn’t form double eyelids even with double eyelid tape, but after epicanthoplasty and double eyelid surgery, I at least became somewhat presentable. Honestly, I barely had any side effects either, so I recommend just doing it as young as possible and focusing on reducing the swelling quickly.
