Before/after Cojelco nose surgery review (revision surgery)
About 8 years ago, I had nose surgery with silicone + ear cartilage and had been getting by without any major issues. But it felt like my nasal tip was gradually drooping, so it bothered me. I didn’t want revision surgery, and while looking for a way to raise only the nasal tip again, I found out about Cojelco.
I made a consultation appointment and talked with the doctor. He said a border had formed between the existing implant and the nasal tip cartilage, and the nasal tip was drooping. He said I could leave the existing implant as it was and do only the nasal tip, but he couldn’t say whether the border between the implant and nasal tip cartilage would be resolved. He also recommended surgery to lower the height compared with the existing implant and connect it naturally with the nasal tip, so after thinking it over, I ended up having revision surgery.
The surgery was done under sedation anesthesia, so there was absolutely no pain, and even after waking from anesthesia, I had no pain at all. Only the area where cartilage was removed near the ear stung a little.... The photo above is right after removing the splint + tape after wearing them for one week. Since I already had silicone, I wasn’t expecting a dramatic change, but when I compared it with the photo I had taken before surgery, there was a difference.
In my case, I decided that since I was doing it anyway, I would go ahead with revision surgery. If you’re worried because only your nasal tip has drooped after a previous surgery, I think raising the nasal tip with Cojelco may be possible, so it would be good to get a consultation. Below is my condition 3 weeks after surgery. I think there is still a little swelling left, and I’m going back after 4 weeks to check the surgical progress, so I’ll ask what I’m curious about then.
