As time passed after my first double eyelid surgery, one double eyelid line came undone, so my eyes gradually started to look uneven. On some days, it looked like the line had completely disappeared, and on other days it formed awkwardly, so it was really stressful that my eye condition changed every day. Especially when taking photos or when closing and opening my eyes, only one side looked awkward, so I kept noticing it. I wanted to avoid revision surgery if possible, but the stress kept building up, so in the end I got a hospital recommendation from a friend who had experience with revision eyelid surgery and went to Dress Plastic Surgery Clinic for a consultation. I was really worried that I might need an incisional method to keep it from coming undone, but thankfully they said it could be done with natural adhesion revision eyelid surgery + non-incisional ptosis correction, so I went ahead with it. They recommended keeping the double eyelid line as close as possible to my existing double eyelid line without raising it, and also doing ptosis correction together because my eye-opening strength was weak. The surgery did not take long, and even though it was a revision surgery, my recovery was on the faster side. After a few days, opening my eyes felt much more comfortable, and after about a week, the major swelling went down and I could see that the line had more or less settled. After about two to three weeks, it looked much more natural, and from then on I started wearing makeup little by little. Whether I wear makeup or not, it feels so good not to have to worry about uneven lines. Now both sides are well-symmetrical, and thanks to doing ptosis correction together, my sleepy-looking impression has improved a lot too. What I’m most satisfied with is that there’s no feeling of overcorrection, and it just looks like my original eyes.
