The photos feel so overwhelming, but is there no way to upload them smaller? Since it might be an issue, I self-certified by cutting out the chin that the director had already cut out for me one more time myselfㅇㅇ I had a severe retruded chin, did orthodontic treatment only for 9 years and it failed, so I looked into double-jaw surgery, and after this and that, I eventually chose facial contouring! My chin was severely retruded no matter who looked at it, so if there is a dental clinic saying it can be fixed with nonsurgical orthodontics, please don’t believe them!! It’s the choice I regret the most
The first photo is before I decided on surgery, after coming out of a makeup shop, and it’s the face shape that shocked me That day I got my makeup done by a different teacher than usual, and my chin looked especially recessed and my cheekbones looked protruded...
The second one is day 12 The actual swelling seems less than in the photo..! Today it has gone down even more than on day 12 The chin tip is obviously definitely better, and for the cheekbones, on the first day I wondered if anything had even been done, but as the swelling went down, I felt that my impression changed completely In the end, it has only been 2 weeks, but I think I’m glad I did it..!
When I was going around for consultations, I went to 4 oral and maxillofacial surgery clinics and 5 plastic surgery clinics, and all nine doctors said, ‘Don’t hesitate over chin tip surgery, just do it’ Even about half of them told me that I didn’t have to do it with them, but strongly advised me to make sure I did it, so although I was planning to do it anyway, I think that gave me more courage
If orthodontic treatment hadn’t failed, I would have had double-jaw surgery long ago, but I had come too far, so I made the final decision to do facial contouring surgery.
As for hospitals, I did go to a large hospital first, but there were many things that made me uneasy, and they quoted close to 20 million won. If I were going to do that, I’d rather do double-jaw surgery
I thought my face was not suited for square jaw surgery, so I put the hospitals that told me this first on my final shortlist. In the end, I did exceed my budget, but I decided on the place whose aesthetic sense seemed to match mine best

Day 9 The day after removing the stitches + after receiving care at the hospital, the swelling suddenly went down a lot Of course, it’s still not a normal-looking face. The bruising got very slightly darker, and started to look bluish. The bruise is moving down along my neck, and I’m worried it might go all the way down to my stomach.. Maybe because the stitches were removed yesterday, clots of blood come out from time to time. When I mix rice into a clear soup and eat it, it keeps feeling like grains of rice are stuck in my lower gums but when I actually look, there’s nothing there. There is almost no pain, but occasionally one side of my head feels pulled, and maybe because sensation is returning around the cheekbones, it feels slightly stiff and tight. I’m practicing pronunciation, but my upper lip doesn’t move, so I can’t fully pronounce ‘ee.’ Eu, oo, oh are relatively okay.
Days 10-12 The bruising hasn’t changed much, and the speed at which the swelling is going down has slowed a little. A lot of the swelling under my eyes and around my cheekbones has gone down, and the issue where my eyes wouldn’t close all the way has improved too. But my chin itches intermittently and it’s driving me crazy. It’s not that the skin is itchy, it feels like the inside of the swelling is itchy? It happens once or twice a day for a few minutes, then gets better. There’s almost no cheekbone pain, but the temporalis muscle feels pulled. It feels like sensation is gradually coming back. Maybe because I had a lot of chin tip advancement, the skin/flesh under my chin feels pulled. It’s not severe. There’s almost no blood when I spit. I can eat almost everything except hard foods now I tried bulgogi, but it seems like too much. Started doing both cold and warm compresses. But I got a bit lazy, so I’m just drinking a lot of water. I sat down and stood up a lot while cleaning my room, and suddenly the swelling went way down! I was surprised (positive) But the next day it went back to where it was
Today is exactly the 2-week mark, and I hope the swelling all goes down soon! But as I keep scrutinizing my face, I’m starting to want to hurry up and go around for eye and nose consultations too... I’m going to get philtrum/nose surgery around the middle of this year, so I’ll search hard
