It’s been one month since I had rhinoplasty with 3D customized DCF at a plastic surgery clinic! At first, it felt like a nose made of clay had been placed on top of my face, so it felt awkward and uncomfortable, but I can definitely feel my nose settling more as time passes. I really liked the nasal tip height right after surgery, so I was worried that the tip might drop as the swelling went down, but thankfully it has barely dropped and is being maintained.
But when I touch the area around the column inside my nose (columella), I can feel something like a firm lump, so I was curious what it was. When I asked, they said it was scar tissue. Since it was scar tissue and not swelling, I was anxious that it might be something I’d have to live with forever, but Director Kim Hyun-joo told me that it’s hard now because not much time has passed since surgery, and that as time goes by it will soften a lot, to the point where if I hold my nose and move it left and right, it will move, so I felt a bit relieved.!
After surgery, the right side is fine, but when I turn my head to the left and look at the nasal bridge, it seems like a very slight hump has formed, so I asked about it. They said that because the skin there is thin, it may look different depending on the swelling each day It really is like that. Some days it looks like it’s gone, and some days it looks especially noticeable.. I don’t think this will be solved just with time, but I’m starting to think it might just be something only I need to look past with a blurry eye
