It’s been a little over 2 months since I had under-eye fat repositioning surgery. I didn’t have that much under-eye fat, but because of my dark circles, I always looked tired, so I’d been thinking about it for several years and finally had the surgery this time. Even when I slept well, the area under my eyes looked dark and shadowed, and I’m not someone who takes photos often, but whenever I happened to take one, that area stood out and bothered me a lot.. After the consultation, they said I wasn’t the type with a lot of under-eye fat, so I wasn’t a case that needed much fat removal. They recommended repositioning mainly for the under-eye hollowing and dark circles, so that’s what I went with. Honestly, even looking for a hospital felt difficult, but I figured experience + reviews don’t pile up for no reason, so while searching for a hospital that does natural-looking eye surgery well, I ended up choosing a place with both good experience and reviews. In the early period after surgery, I had swelling and bruising for about 2–3 days, and after about a week, the bruising was almost gone. The yellow bruising gradually moved downward?? There wasn’t any major pain that interfered with daily life, so I went about things as usual lol People say eye surgery these days is so simple that it’s hardly even considered plastic surgery, and I guess that was true lol Even when I walked around with some bruising, everyone acted like it was no big deal, and the recovery after surgery was smooth, so I liked that. Thinking back, the director explained the surgery clearly and plainly during the consultation too, and there was no overtreatment, so I think I only received exactly the surgery I needed, without things like fat grafting. From around one month afterward, I felt like the area under my eyes was gradually becoming more refined, and now that 2 months have passed, the dark circles under my eyes have faded a lot too, so overall my impression looks less tired. It’s not an overly obvious change, but I’m satisfied because it feels naturally cleaned up. If you’re like me and don’t have a lot of fat but are worried about dark circles, I think under-eye fat repositioning is worth considering at least once.
