I did not have a case where the under-eye fat was protruding; my under-eye area was slightly sunken, so they said I needed fat grafting. They said the fat would be extracted from my abdomen and grafted, and that after 6 months I could choose whether to have a second grafting. However, I have very little fat on my abdomen, so I was worried it might become uneven after fat harvesting. But the doctor said he had plenty of experience and showed confidence in his hand skills, and the consultant said she had worked at this clinic for 8 years and that this had happened only once and was resolved, so I trusted them and had the surgery.
First, to tell you the result, the under-eye fullness on one side has almost disappeared, so my under-eye fullness became uneven. It is uncomfortable to smile broadly, my smiling face has become awkward and bizarre, and when I smile broadly, my eyes roll up like sanpaku eyes? and my focus becomes blurry, so there are functional side effects as well. I do not know the exact cause, and even now, 6 months after surgery, these symptoms still remain. Also, the abdomen where fat was extracted, which I had been worried about, has become completely uneven. Near my navel, I developed an unusual scar that looks like pencil lead?
And the most disappointing thing is how the clinic responded afterward. From 1 month after surgery, I informed the clinic about my condition, but they kept telling me to wait and told me to come at the 6-month mark. They would not really check my progress, so I only went in for a follow-up around the 2-month mark. I had a consultation with the consultant, and even in the preoperative photos taken by the clinic, the difference in the under-eye fullness was clearly visible. But the consultant insisted, as if she could not see it, that it was the same as before and that my eyes had always been uneven. It was truly absurd, and the consultant and I kept arguing back and forth about whether it was true or not. Since we could not reach a conclusion, I went in for a consultation with the doctor, and the doctor was even worse^^.. As soon as the doctor came in, without looking at my eyes up close even once, he said, “Didn’t I tell you that the under-eye fullness is made up of the tarsal plate and muscle?” and that the under-eye fullness could not disappear, then scolded me and got angry;; I said, “I did not come here to hear that kind of logic. I came here to discuss ways to improve what has actually changed.” Then he said that he had performed the surgery perfectly and there was nothing he could do, and he kicked me out, saying he would call the police if I did not leave... (It is still absurd when I think about it again.) Regarding my abdomen as well, he said it looked fine and asked why I was acting like that, telling me to leave before he called the police. Since conversation was no longer possible, I went home like that. I waited longer in case I might write a review too hastily, and I am writing this review now, when it has been nearly 6 months. I recorded all conversations I had with the clinic. The clinic says my eyes were originally like this, that they are the same as before surgery, and that there is absolutely no problem with my abdomen. I am posting this because I want everyone to judge whether it really looks that way to you too.
This is truly the first time I have seen a clinic whose attitude before and after surgery is so different, so I am extremely bewildered. How should I respond? I would also appreciate advice from anyone who has resolved a case like mine. I think I need to have my abdomen liposuctioned again and grafted, so if anyone knows clinics that are good at this kind of surgery too I sincerely ask for advice and help on how to respond to this kind of clinic’s negligent, “not my problem” attitude.
