The reason I decided to have surgery was that my original nose shape itself wasn’t particularly bad, but since I’m a man, I kept being bothered by the fact that my nose looked small overall and my columella looked short. Considering my facial proportions, I wanted to add a little more length and improve the masculine image, so I started considering revision rhinoplasty. I learned about the plastic surgery clinic through Instagram, and after seeing actual surgical cases and reviews, I gained trust and booked a consultation. During the consultation, they explained the direction that would suit my face in detail, so I decided on rhinoplasty using autologous costal cartilage. I was treated by Director Kim Hyun-joo, and underwent nose surgery using autologous costal cartilage and 3D customized silicone. Along with correction of a bulbous nose, I had rhinoplasty aimed at improving the overall nasal line. After rhinoplasty, since it was a bigger surgery than I expected, I also had symptoms of decreased vision, and in the early stage I felt a lot of worry and anxiety. It has now been about 2 weeks since surgery, and there is still swelling left and some parts feel slightly different between the left and right sides, but I think I’m still in the recovery process. I’m spending my time following the care instructions from the hospital well, with the expectation that it will become more natural and better as time passes.
