Eye Surgery Reviews

I had revision eye surgery by incision at a clinic because of multiple creases

▶First surgery: I only had double eyelid surgery with the buried suture method. They said I didn’t need any other procedures and that my eyes were very easy to operate on. At the time, I thought, oh, this place doesn’t overtreat, and went ahead with the surgery lol As time passed, my left eye gradually started looking like it had multiple creases, and the line kept lifting upward;; It got to the point where, on important days, I had to put double eyelid tape only on that side for the double eyelid to show well. The lines were also asymmetrical on both sides, and everyone who looked at my eyes kept asking if I was tired or saying my double eyelids were different on each side, so I decided to get revision surgery. ▶Consultation: I cleared time every weekend and went around for consultations. What I wanted most was to match both lines in a semi-outfold, correct the hollowing above my eyes, and change them to a clean line without multiple creases. I went to many consultations over two months, and I ended up choosing the clinic where the explanation was the most detailed and where I liked the semi-outfold line the most. What surprised me at the consultation was that Director Kim Tae-hoon said from the beginning that my eyes were the type that should have had upper eyelid fat repositioning.... He said that because the fat was uneven, multiple creases ended up forming, and since the line fixation was also not properly maintained, it needed to be secured with an incisional method. I liked that here, the director explained things first and didn’t just force me by saying this absolutely had to be done, but fully listened to my opinion too. Everyone, if you’re going for consultations, I hope you go to a doctor who specializes in eye surgery.. In my case, my two eyes were already asymmetrical to begin with, and this was the first place where I heard that the lines needed to be set with a 0.5 mm difference. I felt that the quality of the surgical method itself was different. ▶Second surgery: I had incisional revision eye surgery together with upper eyelid fat repositioning. After the surgery, I felt again that I had chosen the right clinic. When I had my first surgery, there wasn’t any notable aftercare, but here, for one month, if I wanted, I could receive swelling laser treatment an unlimited number of times. Because of my personality, I found it bothersome and didn’t even go on walks much, and I was careless with warm/cold compresses too, but I could clearly see that the swelling went down on the days I went to the clinic and received swelling laser treatment. ▶Satisfaction: I’m satisfied because it settled into the semi-outfold I wanted. The uneven eyes that stressed me out improved, and the eye shape that subtly made me look sleepy also changed. When you have multiple creases in your eyes, you look older than your actual age lolol I’m relieved that went away too lol When I wear makeup, my eyes look bigger, so these days I’m wearing lighter makeup than before the revision surgery hehe
