I had surgery here because I sweat too much from my armpits, but I experienced side effects on both sides. On the left side, maybe a nerve was touched, but part of the upper armpit has almost no sensation. When I touch it, there’s a creepy feeling like I’m touching rubber, not my own skin.
On the right side, the armpit itself is so deeply sunken that it’s to the point where I could carry a 500-won coin in it. When I searched online, it said this can sometimes occur as a side effect if too much tissue is removed during surgery, and when I had a consultation about the side effect, I was told to get Botox in the area.
I woke up from anesthesia in the middle of surgery, and while operating on my armpit, the doctor was chatting with the operating room nurses, saying, "Where should we go for the company dinner today? How about Outback?" I heard that.... I wish they would focus a bit more during surgery.
