I had it done two or three years ago as functional rhinoplasty for rhinitis. The clinic manager was very kind, but I only saw the director on the day of surgery. My nasal bridge and nostrils were originally okay, so they shaved down the hump, inserted silicone, either 1 mm or 2 mm, and used cartilage for the nose tip. To start with the conclusion, I wanted a slim, dramatic nose tip, but it came out a bit thick and blunt. Still, I’m not originally a very sensitive person, so the shape is just okay enough. My biggest complaint is the anesthesia. As I understand it, it was done in the order of sedation anesthesia, then waking me up and doing local anesthesia. During sedation anesthesia, they fixed my hands and feet, and I was already so nervous I felt like I was going crazy. Because of rhinitis, I couldn’t breathe well through my nose, and to prevent bacteria from entering, they covered my whole face except the nose. The operating room was bright and I was tense, but I couldn’t move my body and couldn’t breathe well, so I quickly felt like I was losing it ㅠㅜ They should have put me under anesthesia right away, but there was a delay in that state. They kept telling me to wait a little, and more than five minutes passed. Since then, when I can’t move my body freely, like during eyelash extensions or skin care treatments, I get something like panic disorder ㅎ Also, I woke up in the middle of anesthesia and was in so much pain that I screamed, and they gave me additional anesthesia. But those 5 to 10 minutes before the anesthesia were truly so painful.. It was my first plastic surgery, so I was very nervous too, and anesthesia usually doesn’t work well on me. Ha ㅠ There were no nerve issues, and insurance processing for the functional rhinoplasty went well. I recommend it if you’re okay with a natural, small-and-neat look.
