Review of Cheekbone Surgery and Cheek Fat Liposuction (About 8 Years Later)

My cheekbones being big was a complex since I was young, and I had a strange aversion to plastic surgery, so I couldn’t do it, but I only went ahead with cheekbone surgery in my late 20s (when I was almost 30). Please note that the photos are of me in my 20s before, and in my late 30s after (37 years old). I liked my other features, but because of my face shape I always took photos at a 45-degree angle. My cheekbones were big, and I had almost as much cheek fat as my cheekbones, so even if I lost weight, the face fat wouldn’t go away.. I weighed 50 kg, but when you looked only at my face, I seemed like I weighed 60 kg. In my V-line-obsessed days, I had cheekbone surgery and liposuction, and after chin-line and cheek fat liposuction, I felt like my face somehow became complete. - Liposuction review - I had facial liposuction at another plastic surgery clinic after the cheekbone surgery, and it was an event promotion, so I don’t remember it very well... lol. With chubby cheek fat + big cheekbones, a pancake-like face can’t be fixed by cheekbone surgery alone. Even after the cheekbone surgery, because I had so much cheek fat that no one could even recognize I’d had surgery(?), I couldn’t really see the effect until I got liposuction, and then from the cheekbones down to the jawline, everything looked sharply defined. Cheek fat that wouldn’t go away with contour shots or anything like that disappeared right after liposuction. If you have puffy, pancake-like cheeks, I recommend liposuction.. I had almost no swelling at all. I did it together with thread lifting, and after that I’ve never had lifting done again.) They said they would put fat into my chin along with the thread lifting, so I said okay, and wow.. I really turned into a shaved-radish-colored rabbit and had to go back for a chin-fat touch-up The fat gradually went down, and the thread lifting also almost returned to its original state after one or two months, so I thought that look suited me better, and I haven’t done anything since. - Cheekbone surgery review - The after photos look so raw because I took them quite plainly, but my horizontal width was extremely broad, and the place I found as someone who knew nothing about plastic surgery at first was the one famous for quick cheekbone surgery, ㄹㅋㅋ. When I went there for a consultation, they told me honestly, and it stung. They said my cheekbones were big, but more importantly my skull itself was large (lol), so even quick cheekbone surgery probably wouldn’t have much effect. I had a slightly square jaw, but they said everyone has that to some extent, so I skipped it. After that I went around to different clinics and ended up at TL, where I had surgery with the younger male director rather than the older director. I said, "Please cut a lot off," and he said okay. He explained things well too, but at that time I only saw the director briefly, and the consultation manager talked for much longer.. I don’t remember much after going into the operating room, but halfway through I woke up from anesthesia. I had no sensation in my face, so I touched my head with my hand and there were bandages wrapped all over it, and tears were flowing down my face without me even realizing it. When I looked around, there were rows of operating beds and everyone was lying there anesthetized with bandages around their heads, one person per bed. It was like a horror movie;; (There were so many people and beds. I’m satisfied now, but at the time it was my first time seeing the operating room, so it felt a bit like a factory. Other people probably didn’t see that scene.) But the older director came over, touched my face, and said to the younger director, "There’s too much blood pooled here? This isn’t good," and said he’d have to do it again(!) I was put under anesthesia again and had surgery back-to-back (of course, that probably meant they needed to redo the blood-drainage aftercare). At the time I was so out of it that I didn’t even realize how scary two consecutive sedations were, and when I woke up my face was really.. 3 times my face size swollen. I went home first (I took the subway alone;) Two or three days later it got even more swollen, and when I went to get the stitches removed, the consultation manager said the surgery went well, but when I looked in the mirror it didn’t seem like it at all, so I cried and cried I said my face looked ruined (Contour surgery causes really severe swelling, so you may be surprised when you see yourself with a face as big as a fan for the first time..) But around 3-4 months.. maybe 6 months later, the swelling gradually went down and I could feel the line becoming cleaner again. (If you’re getting cheekbone surgery, I recommend taking at least a month off.. The clinic said I could return to daily life after one week, but I went to work with broken blood vessels in my eyes. The swelling was pretty severe and the bruising hadn’t gone away yet.) It was almost 10 years ago, so I don’t know how it is now, but the sensation fully came back and I’m living well. My cheekbones were so big that I’m satisfied now. For reference, I had the surgery while in orthodontic treatment, and the procedure was done through an incision inside the lip and a scar in front of the ear, so there is no visible scar at all. If I don’t say anything, no one knows I had cheekbone surgery. I’m not sure about sagging yet either.. aside from just getting a little looser with age.. I’ve never even done Ulthera once, but I’m thinking of trying it this time. I’m also worried about an upper-lip dimple because of the orthodontics making my lips curl inward.. (If you have any info, please let me know) I’m older now and also had orthodontics, so I’m a bit peanut-shaped (I’m in my late 30s), but since the photos are so raw, in ordinary photos people say I’m pretty. (Wherever I go, I get told I’m pretty.) Taken with the default Galaxy camera. Downside > A slight line of Indian folds appeared (at first it was something only I noticed, but as I got older it sagged a bit more and became more visible. Of course, other people don’t notice it. I guess I need lifting..) P.S. I posted this review to level up, but did that plastic surgery clinic disappear?;;; I looked it up and found that the younger director was Director ㅊㅅㅇ, and the older director was Director ㄱㅈㅁ.
