Cheekbone Surgery Reviews

10-month review after cheekbone reduction + square jaw surgery + chin advancement at a plastic surgery clinic.

It has already been 10 months since I had cheekbone reduction + square jaw surgery + chin advancement. These days, I can definitely feel that the swelling around my cheeks has gone down a lot. I had photos from around 2 to 3 months post-op, so when I compared them, the difference between then and now was more obvious than I expected. In the beginning, there was swelling and my facial contour was still settling, so there were times when I wondered, “Is this right?” But as time passed and my face gradually became more refined, my satisfaction with the surgery kept increasing. It even made me think this might be why people talk about plastic surgery addiction haha. In the early period after facial contouring surgery, I lost a little weight, but these days I’ve been eating really well, so I have gained some facial fat. But what’s interesting is that maybe because my face is smaller than before surgery, even when I gain weight, it doesn’t show as much as it used to. Before surgery, my face would have looked bigger right away, so I’m personally very satisfied with this part. I’m now getting close to the 1-year mark, so this year I’m thinking of setting dieting as my goal. Since my facial contour is already smaller, I’m also a little excited to see how much more refined it will look if I lose some fat too. At the moment, I have no discomfort at all when eating, and I’m doing well in daily life without any problem areas. It feels like my recovery is almost completely finished, and overall, I don’t regret deciding to have the surgery. As time passes, it is settling in even more naturally, so I’m thinking of leaving another review about the changes at the 1-year mark.
