I had incisional double eyelid surgery + epicanthoplasty + ptosis correction at a clinic in Busan that’s pretty well known for double eyelid surgery. I was honestly a bit anxious from after the stitches were removed. Sometimes, when I opened my eyes, an extra double eyelid fold would appear, but I figured it was probably because of swelling, so I waited..... From around the 6-month mark, an extra double eyelid fold appeared on one eye and wouldn’t go away. Then both eyes developed extra folds, the lines became faint, and by the time it was almost a year after surgery, the ptosis correction had completely come undone too, so my eye-opening strength became even weaker than before surgery. When I contacted the clinic for an aftercare consultation, the director who had operated on my eyes at the time had already left....; I was too careless for trusting that double eyelid surgery is a pretty standard procedure and that since it was a clinic famous for double eyelid surgery, they’d be good at it.... This time, I searched hard online and in person, and I’m getting revision surgery at another clinic.... I hope it goes well this time...
