Hi? I’m someone who had my 5th revision rhinoplasty 2 months ago. I had my first rhinoplasty at age 17, and 3 years later, my nasal bone was fractured in an accident, so I ended up having a total of 4 surgeries. At the time, I had a fixed idea that an otolaryngology specialist would definitely be good at nose surgery, so all 4 surgeries were done by otolaryngology specialists. After the last surgery, from the side my nose was lifted like an upturned nose, so it looked obviously operated on to anyone, and from the front too much of my nostrils showed. I also developed costal cartilage warping, so my nose became crooked. Every day was so stressful that I decided to have revision rhinoplasty. At first, I didn’t know much and felt lost, but I got a lot of help from this community, and through an open chat room I found out about here, I got a lot of information and consulted with more than about 30 hospitals famous for revision rhinoplasty. As everyone knows, the more times you have nose surgery, the more the tissue gets damaged, and there is also scar tissue. So if I did it this time, I was looking for a place that could do it with minimal manipulation. Other places all suggested re-harvesting costal cartilage, fascia, or re-harvesting ear cartilage, but this was the only place that suggested reusing the existing materials. So after thinking it over, I decided on it. The surgical plan was as follows: 1. Change the sharp-looking nose from the side into a natural, masculine-looking nose 2. Improve nostril show from the front 3. Improve the support strut (nasal tip) that became crooked due to costal cartilage warping 4. Lower the lifted nose (improve the upturned-nose look) + chin implant for a recessed chin (Inofit) The plans above were generally improved well, and I definitely think it turned out more natural than before surgery. If anyone here had surgery here or is considering surgery, please leave a comment. Let’s communicate together!
