Hello! I previously posted a lot to get recommendations for a plastic surgery clinic for lateral canthoplasty, and among about five places, I ultimately chose Barabon. I am now 3 months post-op from lateral canthoplasty + double eyelid surgery. [How I chose the plastic surgery clinic] -. Do they clearly explain the method for each surgery, and are there fewer side effects? -. Can recovery be fast? -. Even if it looks pretty right away, will it avoid loosening or sticking back together quickly? -. Can the procedure be done to suit my skin and eyes? [Surgery information] • Surgical areas: double eyelid (inline), lateral canthoplasty (incisional) [Consultation and surgery satisfaction] • After hearing the director explain the eye structure and principles, I judged that it would have the lowest risk of side effects. (Personally, I don’t think there is any plastic surgery with zero side effects..) • If canthoplasty is done without an incision, there can be limits to how much it opens, side effects like re-adhesion, or a sad-looking expression, but this could be done in a form that opens exactly backward only. • Through simulation, it was easy to predict the before/after of applying lateral canthoplasty. • Their style is to recommend only exactly what is needed, without overdoing it, so the result is really natural. [Recovery and progress] • Since I’m an office worker, I was worried about recovery, but after stitch removal, I was able to return to daily life right away. • Creating an inline crease is tricky, but they positioned the line so well that it settled beautifully without a sausage-like look. • Because it was incisional lateral canthoplasty, I’m very satisfied that I don’t have to worry about it sticking back together or returning even years later. • Even right after surgery, I received compliments that the line and canthoplasty seemed to have turned out well, and even a passing older lady complimented me haha • The outer corners of my eyes opened naturally, like my original eyes. [Recommended for] People who really want to open up their eyes clearly. People who want a definite double eyelid! If you are suffering from side effects of lateral canthoplasty or hesitating because of side effects, please at least get a consultation.
