Cheekbone Surgery Reviews

2-week review after 3 facial contouring procedures

I came back to write a review after such a long time!!! I’ll write everything step by step starting with my 2-week review!! After about 2 weeks had passed since the surgery, it felt like the hardest early period had eased a bit! There’s still a lot of swelling left, so my whole face looks puffy, and when I wake up in the morning and look in the mirror, I get startled... lol Still, all the bruising was gone, and even though my face was swollen, my cheekbones looked smooth, which was kind of amazing!! At week 2, I went to the hospital to have the stitches inside my mouth removed, and after they took the stitches out, eating definitely became much more comfortable. Before that, eating was cautious and uncomfortable, so I had mostly been eating porridge or drinkable foods, but after the stitches were removed, I was happy because I could eat soft foods better than I expected lol A lot of people worry a ton about getting stitches removed, and I was really nervous when I went too, you know?? It does sting, but it’s not so painful that you feel like you’re going to die, so you don’t have to be too nervous! They do it really gently!! Since it was only week 2, there were still areas where sensation hadn’t fully returned. (It has all come back now though!) The cheekbone area and the front chin area felt numb when I touched them, and the hospital said this kind of sensation slowly comes back over time, so I don’t think I worried too much. Also, my swelling went down differently on each side! The right side went down quickly, but the left side was a bit slower. But it all goes down eventually anyway, so you don’t need to worry!
