I’m writing this because I want to show exactly what can happen if canthoplasty fails, just like it did for me!! haha I wanted bigger eyes, so I got lower canthoplasty a while ago, and I told them to open it up as much as possible no matter what. Even when I had my eyes open comfortably, too much of the white under my pupils showed, like sanpaku eyes, and my eyelashes started turning inward badly, so I lived with stinging eyes + redness + a poking sensation to the point that daily life was uncomfortable. And what looked the worst was when I looked upward... I usually get eyelash extensions and wear pretty flashy makeup, but because of this, I got so tired of hearing people say my impression looked strange and my eyes looked scary. So I ended up looking into lower canthoplasty restoration almost against my will At first I wondered if I should just get surgery for entropion, but ophthalmology clinics couldn’t really cover the cosmetic aspect, and when I looked up revision surgery reviews, people said that if I was going to do restoration and entropion correction together, a plastic surgery clinic would be better, so I started looking into plastic surgery clinics I went to quite a few consultations for restoration, and the reason I chose this clinic was, first, the reviews were pretty good. Also, the consultation was really detailed (they told me realistically how it could be improved), and since there were many reviews from people who had entropion correction and lower canthoplasty restoration, it was already high on my list. The director said they would first correct the inward-turning eyelashes while releasing the adhesions from the lower canthoplasty to make the eyes look natural, so I decided to have surgery here! While releasing the adhesions, I had lower canthoplasty restoration, entropion correction, incision extension, and things like that... procedures that sound difficult just from the names, all revised at once, so maybe that’s why my eyes felt pretty heavy on the day of surgery. But strangely, even from the same day, the feeling of my eyelashes poking my eyes was gone! I thought the functional part had improved well, but now the important thing was for the swelling to go down, and I had quite a bit of bruising, so I iced/warm-compressed diligently Honestly, the pain was definitely not bad enough to stop daily life, but the under-eye area felt stiff, and in the beginning, when I looked straight ahead, after the restoration, my eyes looked slightly stuffy? People around me said absolutely not, that they didn’t look that way at all, but maybe it was because I was looking at my own eyes haha. I definitely did think the restoration had gone well. So after things stabilized somewhat, I immediately got eyelash extensions again.. hahaha As expected, I like these flashy-looking eyes. Still, now when I look straight ahead, I don’t look like I have sanpaku eyes anymore, and although the scars are still red, I think they’ll gradually get better with time, so I’m thinking positively! The clinic also manages my recovery regularly.. The director definitely made a surgical plan without overdoing anything, so I think it would be good for calming down someone like me who’s full of beauty ambitions haha. I’m also not going to get greedy with my eyes anymore and will just live like this haha Everyone thinking about canthoplasty, please be really careful when getting it done. Research the clinic well Don’t open it up too much..
