After my first surgery, I developed a deformity, so I had reconstruction. They said artificial implants have to be removed in order to reconstruct the nasal septum, so I had them taken out. My side-profile complex was worse, so I asked them to pay a lot of attention to the nasal tip using autologous costal cartilage, and the director really seems to shape the line quite a bit. It feels like he has a wide spectrum, like something I saw somewhere? I think he has a good sense for it. I was surprised because it came out quite similar to the predicted surgery photos I saw during the consultation. It wasn’t quite a hump nose, but it had a saddle-nose feel, and I think it’s been refined a lot, so I feel like it turned out at least average. The director gave me some options, and said that if I wanted it to look like the photos I brought, adding osteotomy would make it closer to the look I wanted. But he said the line itself would still be pretty even without it, so I agonized over it a lot. Since the cost difference wasn’t that big, I made up my mind and did the osteotomy. I was worried that if I didn’t do it and then didn’t like the result, I’d end up blaming that... Looking at it now, I think the line probably would have come out well even without it, just like the director said. Still, since it became slimmer, I do feel personally satisfied. I can’t say I’m 1000% happy with absolutely everything, but I did feel like the clinic put in effort and sincerity, so it wasn’t bad.
