So after thinking about it countless times, I decided to have surgery.
During the consultation, the director said that because my nasal bridge was high and I had a hump nose with a drooping nasal tip, he would slightly refine the hump area, and if there was septal cartilage remaining, he would raise the nasal tip with it (if not, donated costal cartilage - he said he would open the nose during surgery and check), and he said he would fill the sunken area in the middle of the nose with autologous dermis.
Since I don’t know much about plastic surgery, whenever I was wavering, he would point things out clearly, explain them again, and ask for my opinion. Rather than just trying to make it look pretty, he seemed to consult from the patient’s perspective, so I trusted him completely lolololol
After surgery, since my rhinitis had been bad, I did have some nasal congestion, but as I felt the swelling in the nasal mucous membrane go down, the rhinitis I had also disappeared!!! I’m in such a happy state.
I usually thought my quality of life was really lowered because of rhinitis, but I’m so satisfied not only with the appearance but also with the functional aspect of my nose!
Now it seems like the swelling on the nasal bridge has all gone down, and only a little remains at the nasal tip, but it’s not enough for anyone to notice, just something I can feel when I touch it haha. It’s only been two months, but the incision scar is almost invisible too. I’m really satisfied because I think it turned out beautifully as a straight nose hehe.
They say you have to watch the nose until the 6-month mark, and I think that’s really true. Even compared with the 1-month mark, I can clearly see that it has gotten prettier lol. I’m looking forward to what’s next even more hehe.
