I’ve always had a complex because my nose was low and my overall facial lines looked rather flat. Every time I took photos, something felt a little lacking, and even with makeup, my features didn’t look dimensional enough, so I worried about it every time I looked in the mirror. After thinking about it for a long time, I finally decided to have surgery because I wanted to create a natural and harmonious line.
When choosing a clinic, I went to consultations at several places, but the place where I ultimately had surgery felt really trustworthy because of the director’s consultation. They carefully explained a design that would suit my face shape and also pointed out realistic expectations well, so I felt confident. The clinic was very thorough about things like schedule coordination and precautions, which was a big help. They created a comfortable atmosphere, so I think I felt a little less nervous on the day of surgery.
Right after surgery, I had quite a bit of bruising and swelling, and especially for the first 2–3 days, there was some pain and discomfort. Since I had to breathe only through my mouth, it was a little hard to sleep at night, and I had to be careful with daily life for a few days. Still, the clinic took good care of me afterward, so I think the swelling went down fairly quickly.
It’s been a little while since the surgery now, and my overall facial image has definitely changed. My side profile has become so pretty, and thanks to my naturally elevated nose, makeup suits me much better too. I think I’ll be even more satisfied once the swelling goes down more and everything settles into place! I really think it was the right choice.
