Successful breast revision surgery after four attempts

Hello~ I had my 4th breast revision surgery, and what I hope will be my last breast revision surgery, last December, so I’m writing a review :D I think people who need revision surgery because of a botched operation have it harder than people getting breast augmentation for the first time. I had only written a review on an app, but I didn’t want to keep this to myself, so I joined here to share it. I heard revision surgery is possible only after the tissue stabilizes for about 6 months, so while waiting, I searched for and read many reviews and clinic websites before choosing a hospital. Even if I went back to before the revision surgery, I think I would praise my choice. The trust I had in Director Kim, and the empathy and good energy from the consultant, helped reduce my fear of revision surgery. The first surgery was in 2006, with a transumbilical incision and about 240 cc of saline. At first, because my tissue was thin, I was even satisfied with the feel, but after about 5 years, the implant pocket loosened, the rippling became severe, and even the wrinkles of the saline implant were visible, so I decided on revision surgery. For my second surgery, I went back to the hospital where I had my first surgery. With transumbilical surgery, the dissection was not precise, so the right side had severe bottoming out. There was about a two-finger difference, but the hospital told me to wait and see, so I was stressed and started looking into other hospitals. My third revision surgery was sometime between spring and summer of 2021. Even though it was revision surgery, I think I was still greedy about scars, so I found a place that said they would do it through the armpit incision, but I think that was the biggest mistake. I had Motiva implants, but the area where bottoming out was corrected developed capsular contracture, and the bottoming out became even worse. I had drains in, but I still think the severe bleeding was what triggered the capsular contracture. I was so stressed and exhausted, but I accepted that I would not be able to do anything for 6 months. I searched for places that were good at breast revision surgery and went to consultations. Even with a bad situation of capsular contracture, bottoming out, and thin skin, Director Kim reflected my wish to increase the size and completed it beautifully. haha I’m sensitive about scars, so I wanted an armpit incision, but after going around in circles, on the fourth surgery I had an inframammary fold incision, and actually the inframammary scar is less visible. The reason I’m writing such a long post is that I hope people considering breast surgery will find this helpful and choose carefully. Breast surgery is something any woman may think about, but it’s important to do it at a place that understands and can operate on such a precious part of your body. I succeeded after four attempts, but if you read this and make your choice, I’m rooting for you to succeed in one try :) Thank you to all the staff for taking such good care of me.
