Honestly, I didn’t do any online research or legwork lol. I was really brave, right? Looking back now, it was crazy, but after watching the director’s YouTube videos, I thought I absolutely had to entrust my face to that director, and my faith paid off!
As you can see in the photos, I had a severe recessed chin and asymmetry, plus a crooked nose, a drooping nasal tip, and a crooked lower face. When I took photos with my mouth looking crooked too, they came out so weird that I’d think, “Who is this?”
It stressed me out so much, and from my early twenties, whenever I took photos, I always covered my lower face..
I had almost given up and just lived with it, but after setting a date for my wedding photoshoot, I felt so unsettled
I was depressed because I felt like if I did the studio shoot with this face, I’d definitely hate the results and feel awful about myself. Then, with perfect timing, I came across Director Park Joon-gyu on YouTube, made an appointment right away, and even booked the surgery date lol
My ideal look was naturalness. I wanted it to be subtle enough that people around me might not know exactly what changed, but would feel like my overall vibe had changed. I told him that during the consultation, and I wanted surgery without being greedy.
For facial contouring, he said the shifted center could be corrected with the chin tip alone. For the nose, we decided to keep the dorsal hump as it was, use no implant, and only use septal cartilage to lift the drooping nasal tip and slightly correct the crookedness.
If you look at my pre-op photos, from both the front and side, you can see that I had no volume in my chin at all, so my cheek fat sagged, I had a double chin, and my lips looked protruded, right?
After surgery, I got a chin and the muscles were pulled tighter, so the sagging cheek fat and double chin improved I’m seriously so moved.
On top of that, my drooping nasal tip was lifted naturally.
Another thing I’m satisfied with is the shape of my lips.
Before surgery, my lips looked so insignificant and the corners of my mouth didn’t match, but now my lips seem to have found their proper place, both corners match well, and my previously flipped-out lips look much prettier.
I’m in my late thirties, so from the front, it’s a bit disappointing that my facial line lacks elasticity, but now that I have a lower face where there wasn’t one before, I gained a refined look I never had.
It suits my age, so I really like it.
After surgery, my swelling didn’t go down well even after more than a month, so I was really depressed. But after getting a swelling injection at the one-month mark, it started going down quickly lol
I still have some minor swelling, the muscles pulled under my chin feel uncomfortable, and it’s a little inconvenient that food gets stuck between my gums and the tissue of my lower lip, but time will take care of it, right?
