Motiva 1-Year Review at a Plastic Surgery Clinic

A full year has already passed since I had breast surgery. Before surgery, I remember spending every night reading reviews, half worried and half excited, but now I’ve gotten so used to them that they feel like part of my body, to the point where I sometimes forget I even had surgery. I want to carefully write about the changes I personally experienced over this long year and the concerns I had.

Honestly, after deciding to have surgery, I was the type who really worked hard doing what people call a “plastic surgery clinic tour.” After going to consultations, most clinics recommended fairly large sizes, from the low 300cc range to as much as 380cc. So when Director Kim Min-young at the plastic surgery clinic recommended 285cc, I honestly felt very anxious at first, thinking, “Isn’t that too small?” But when the director said with such confidence, “Just trust me and go with 285cc. I’ll make it the most natural and beautiful fit for your body type,” I was moved by her expertise and confidence and made my decision.

Looking back now, all I can think is that I’m really glad I listened to the director. If I had gotten greedy back then and gone bigger, I think by now I might have had a strong foreign-body sensation or felt like my body was too heavy and uncomfortable. I heard that increasing the size later is possible, but reducing it again is a much more difficult and major surgery. Seeing the moderate volume and natural line that fit my frame perfectly now, I feel like, “This was the right answer.” I’m truly grateful to the director for not letting me be swayed by reviews saying to go big no matter what, and for finding the optimal size for my small build.

I was also quite scared of the transaxillary incision. I had seen so many terrifying comments online like “transaxillary incisions are hellishly painful” and “it feels like a truck ran over you,” so I was really frightened. But when I actually experienced it, I was surprised that I was much more fine than I expected. Of course, it wasn’t completely painless as if I hadn’t had surgery at all, but I’d say it was about 10% of the pain people online scared me with? It was more of an aching soreness, and my recovery was fast enough that I could return to daily life pretty quickly. I think the pain was definitely less because the director performed the dissection delicately and did the surgery itself so well.

Now, one year later, the scar in my armpit has settled like a natural armpit crease. Unless you look very closely, you can’t tell it’s a surgical mark, so I don’t worry about it at all when wearing sleeveless tops in summer or raising my arms. Maybe the surgery turned out well, because they are really soft. The director also checked them and said this is the highest level of softness you can get with Motiva haha. When I lie down or move, they spread softly without a visible boundary, just like my own tissue.

The happiest change is confidence. These days, when I go to the gym locker room or a public bathhouse, I can subtly feel people looking. The breast shape is perky and pretty, but there are no visible scars around the armpits or breasts, so it seems like everyone assumes my breasts were naturally pretty. So I just confidently show them. haha It was a surgery that perfectly satisfied my needs: I wanted definite volume without it looking obvious.

I really want to tell those who are thinking about it: going bigger no matter what is not the answer. I think the most important thing is meeting a director who can accurately diagnose the size that suits your body frame and rib cage, and who has a natural aesthetic sense. I hope my first-year review helps everyone with their choices, even a little!

*Shape and softness (the part I’m most satisfied with!) Compared with the first 3 to 6 months, they look much more natural now after one year. When I lie down, they spread naturally to the sides, and when I stand, they fall beautifully in a teardrop shape. The texture now has become so soft that I can’t distinguish it from my own tissue. If I don’t tell people around me, they wouldn’t know I had surgery.

*Size (285cc) I felt burdened by anything too excessive, so after consulting with Director Kim Min-young, I decided on 285cc, and I really think it was a “divine move.” It gives just the right amount of volume for my frame, so clothes fit much better. In the past, I was concerned because my upper pole volume was a bit hollow, but now I feel confident even when wearing just a thin T-shirt.

*Scar (transaxillary incision) Because it was a transaxillary incision, I was a little conscious of it when raising my arms at first, but after one year, the scar has faded a lot. It looks like an armpit crease, so unless you look closely, it’s barely noticeable. I think it’s thanks to how meticulously the director sutured it.

- Review of Director Kim Min-young & the plastic surgery clinic From the consultation, the director was really meticulous. I had a lot of questions and asked one after another, but she answered each one professionally. More than anything, I trusted her because she didn’t forcefully recommend a large size and instead told me the optimal size for my rib cage size and skin elasticity. At first I thought, 285? Huh, isn’t that too small? But now I’m like, wow... it’s just right.. haha It’s very natural but also very full haha The clinic also took very thorough care of post-surgery aftercare. Every time I went for a regular checkup, they checked my condition well and treated me kindly, so I was able to recover with peace of mind until the end.

- Tips for those considering surgery *Communication with the director: I think the surest shortcut to avoiding failure is to clearly communicate what you want, while also trusting and following the director’s professional opinion. Of course, I think the most important thing is to carefully read reviews and find a skilled clinic. Also, I think what really matters is not communication with the consultant, but “whether communication with the director goes well after surgery.” I heard there are many cases where they only perform the surgery, and if a problem occurs later, only the consultant appears. It would be good to consider things like whether they take responsibility for the surgery until the end, whether they properly check the surgical results, and whether they continue checking whether the implants are in good condition even after one year, two years, and beyond.

*Importance of aftercare: If you walk a lot in the early stage and follow the clinic’s aftercare instructions well, the feel definitely improves faster! And I think it’s good to choose a clinic after checking whether they have the necessary aftercare programs in place. I did prioritize whether aftercare was well organized! The director personally and carefully checked every step, so I think that was one reason I felt so reassured: recovery was fast, and I could check each time whether there were any abnormalities. Also, seeing friends around me who had inframammary fold incisions, the scars showed no matter how well they healed.. So honestly, if people around me are getting breast surgery, I recommend the transaxillary incision. I can’t believe it’s already been one year; time really flies. I’m grateful to Director Kim Min-young for helping me overcome my complex and wear pretty clothes as much as I want, and because I’m truly satisfied, I recommend that anyone considering breast augmentation definitely include this plastic surgery clinic on their consultation list!
