Liposuction Reviews

1 week after facial liposuction for cheekbones, lower cheeks, and double chin

I was always stressed because whenever I took photos, my double chin, cheek fat, and cheekbones looked so big Then I had a photo shoot this year, and even though I had dieted, the fat on my face did not go down at all. Seeing that my broad, flat-looking face was still the same, I thought, ah, this must not be fat that comes off, so I decided to get liposuction..... hahaha At first I went in thinking maybe I would only do the double chin, but during the consultation, the director kindly explained that I also had quite a lot of fat in my lower cheeks and cheekbone area, so removing those together would be more effective! Since my broad-looking face was what stressed me out, it made so much sense, so I thought that if I was going to do it anyway, it would be better to do everything together, and I immediately set a surgery date and made a reservation~~ I did not follow a diet or meal plan before the surgery, but I did abstain from alcohol for about a week! They told me to fast starting 6 hours before surgery, so I followed the timing carefully and went to the clinic. I had a lot of questions before surgery, so to help people with the same concerns, I wrote down the changes in detail every day for a week~~ Day 1 review - My surgery was scheduled for 2 o’clock, and since I had taken a half-day off on Friday to go, I think I was full of the thought that I just wanted the surgery to finish quickly and go well.. haha (because I had to go to work on Monday..!) The manager kindly guided me, so I changed clothes, took photos, and waited. After waiting a little, I was taken straight to the operating room, and after a while, when I opened my eyes, the surgery was over~ They asked, “Can you walk?” so I said, “Is it over?” and got up lolololol I got up, walked to the recovery room without any problem, slept for about another hour, and then went home. Since it takes 30-40 minutes to get home by subway, before surgery I was debating whether to go home by subway or take a taxi, but my face was extremely swollen, so I gave up on the subway and called a taxi right away to go home haha When I got home and looked in the mirror, my face had become twice its size.. haha But I was hungry, so I ate a solid meal, took my prescribed medication properly, did cold compresses, and then went to sleep:) Day 2 - Maybe because I started taking swelling-reducing medication from the night of Day 1, the swelling was much better. Instead, the bruising was definitely visible! Since the cheekbone area is near the eyes, the hospital had told me in advance that even a slight touch can cause bruising there, so I was not surprised! I removed everything that had been placed on my chin and applied DuoDERM to a total of 7 spots:) After applying DuoDERM, I wore the compression band all day~ I kept doing cold compresses too! + I also took the swelling-reducing medication three times a day! Oh, they said they removed a total of 49.6 cc of fat, and the pure fat was 26 cc! Day 3 - The swelling had gone down much more than on Day 2, but the slight swelling around my eyes and cheekbones remained, so it was enough swelling to make the area between my brows look slightly wider. The bruising was much better than Day 2, but there was still some red bruising visible under my eyes? They said washing my face and showering were possible from Day 2, but I showered on Day 3, and it felt so refreshing that I felt alive again haha Since I had to go to work the next day, I kept doing cold compresses and continued wearing the compression band through Day 3! Day 4 - The swelling was similar compared to the night of Day 3, but there was absolutely no problem going to work~ I roughly applied sunscreen, put foundation around my eyes, wore a turtleneck and a mask, and went to work, and no one noticed haha I ate regular meals while taking the swelling-reducing medication, and when I slept, I wore the compression band and used a warm eye mask so the bruising would fade faster. Hoping the swelling and bruising go away as soon as possible! Day 5 - It felt like the bruising and swelling had moved downward slightly! The red bruising around my eyes got a bit better, and a lot of the yellow bruising around it seemed to have disappeared? hahaha The swelling had been full around my cheekbones, but it had moved down a bit toward my cheeks! I think it will gradually move further down:) This day, just like Day 4, I did all of the same things: regular meals, swelling medication, compression band, and warm eye mask! Day 6 - Time really flies, already Day 6..! The red bruising is turning into yellow bruising, and the swelling has moved further down toward my cheeks. It looks similar to my cheeks before liposuction, so I am thinking that once this swelling goes down, there will be a clear difference! The facial bruising is almost completely covered with makeup, so there is absolutely no problem with daily life. They told me to keep DuoDERM on the 7 liposuction sites for a week, so I still have it on, and the 5 spots from under the ears to the chin no longer turn white and swell up. The 2 spots on both cheeks still make the DuoDERM turn white and swell, so I think I will keep applying it until that stops! Just like Days 4 and 5, I did all of the same things: regular meals, swelling medication, compression band, and warm eye mask~~ Day 7 - First of all, by Day 7, as if by magic, the 5 scars on my chin had really disappeared to the point that they are almost invisible, and even with DuoDERM, they no longer turn white and swell. I think I need to keep it on both cheeks a little longer haha As for swelling, it has definitely gone down a lot around the cheekbones, and it has moved down, so there is just a little around the cheeks? Once even this swelling goes away, I think my face will become much slimmer They say swelling can continue to go down for up to one or two months, so my expectations are super high!! The bruising on my face has now faded completely yellow, so I think by around next week, the bruising will be all fine, but there is still red bruising visible on my neck, so I think that will take time! I had plans with friends for the first time after surgery, and everyone asked if I had lost weight, so I felt so good haha This is my 1-week review, and I am even more excited for what comes next!
