The consultation didn’t feel like a sales pitch at all, but like a real consultation from someone who genuinely worries about the patient’s life.. It’s been a long time since I got the consultation and estimate, and I was told to visit a few other hospitals too, but I just can’t shake the feeling that I want to be treated by this doctor, so I’m planning to go back to Korea and do it when my schedule allows..
If you go to the hospital website, there’s a popup that seems to be there because the doctor heard complaints about being unfriendly.. and they’ve written a long explanation about it.. From a doctor’s perspective, and especially for a breast surgery, it’s quite a big operation, but if a patient doesn’t listen to the doctor and something happens, it’s the doctor who gets blamed. I don’t think they need to be blamed for not being sweet to even those difficult people.. Honestly, I was a little intimidated after reading the notice, but when I met them, they said what they needed to say and conveyed exactly what was necessary. No false hope. If you do whatever you want and then ask why they didn’t stop you, this is the kind of hospital where the truth will hit you hard and leave you laid up for 12 weeks.
