It has been 6 months since I had eye surgery. I had ptosis correction + natural adhesion done at a large plastic surgery clinic. The eye surgeon was already famous for being good, and the consultant in charge of me (now resigned) approached me in a friendly way, so I made up my mind and had the surgery there. After the surgery ended and I came home and looked, my left eye had more or less the line I wanted, but my right eye was extremely sausage-like, as if it were hugely swollen. So I wondered what this was and asked on the day I went to get my stitches removed, and they said it was swelling and that once it all went down, it would be fine. So I tried everything to reduce the swelling, including exercise and diet control, but nothing changed (for reference, I don’t have any separate side effects). Honestly, now every time I look in the mirror, the asymmetry stresses me out, and I can’t even make eye contact with people well, so I’m considering going somewhere else for revision surgery.
