Hello~ I had 3-part facial contouring surgery at Yang Yoon Dol Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and it has already been 1 month. I’m writing this in the hope that it may be of even a little help. (Please take it as a reference. This is my personal opinion.)
My face shape was round, and my side cheekbones were a bit prominent, which bothered me. After worrying about it for quite a long time and looking into it, I developed clear needs: I had definite complexes, a face shape I wanted, a face shape I considered pretty, and I wanted to make my face look sharper. I also wanted to make my asymmetrical face more harmonious overall, so I decided to have surgery. I started with 10 candidate clinics, narrowed them down to about 5, and I think I visited all of them.
What’s clear is that I chose the right hospital, and I’m quite satisfied because the director and medical staff treated me very kindly and sincerely. They are kind, give good consultations, and you feel a sense of stability. They’re professional too! If you’re really worried about surgical risks, please definitely visit Yang Yoon Dol Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and get a consultation.
I think I visited about 4–5 hospitals, and this was the one place where I clearly felt, “This is it,” after the consultation, so I scheduled the surgery date right that same day. From booking the date to surgery, it was roughly a month and a half? Since there are both the hospital’s schedule and your own schedule, I think this may vary.
From the day of surgery to about 1 week after, there is quite a lot of discomfort and pain. Moving around is uncomfortable, you have to keep using the compression band and cold packs, and you have to take medication too.. Eating is a bit uncomfortable, and because of swelling, there were various inconveniences. Once the swelling starts to go down, though, you can feel that your face shape has changed somewhat. While continuing regular outpatient treatment, make sure to eat well, take your medication properly, and go for walks! I think walking even a little is important.
Recently, one month after surgery, I met acquaintances for the first time. Because there was still swelling, some people asked if I had gained weight, while another acquaintance said I had lost a lot of weight and that my face had become smaller. Since you need to monitor the progress for at least 3–6 months, and longer term maybe over a year? I don’t think it’s possible for it to be perfectly complete after just one month. Still, my face has definitely become somewhat smaller, and the asymmetry! This has really improved a lot. Also, when I look at the bone images, I can really feel the difference, so as time passes, I feel more anticipation? I’m also thinking that I should manage my recovery even better for the results.
Overall, I’m currently satisfied. However, since it has only been 1 month and I still need to continue managing my recovery, I want to work even harder on aftercare and create even more amazing results.
