I’m writing a review about 2 months after surgery. It’s already been 2 months since the day of surgery, when I thought, “I’m screwed.” For about 10 days after surgery, it was so uncomfortable that I thought I could never do it again, but the swelling went down quickly, and before even a month had passed, I looked in the mirror and thought, “It looks really natural.” But when I compared the photos I had taken and saved about once a week, I discovered the surprising result that my impression was changing every week. Maybe because it’s the end of the year, I’ve had a lot of gatherings lately, and the reactions from friends and acquaintances seeing me for the first time in a while after surgery have been so funny haha
In my life, I’ve heard people say I was really ugly lol, but I never thought a day like this would come. The reactions from people I know are hilarious.
“Huh? Why did you become so handsome?” “What is this…????”
Another reaction is that most people don’t recognize who I am at first and then get shocked. In the end, they always say, “It turned out really naturally,” “You became really handsome in such a natural way,” and all I can think is, why did I only do this now? haha
People who don’t know me and are meeting me for the first time don’t even know that I had surgery. When I’m told I’m handsome for no reason, should I say it makes me feel guilty… haha
I think I was able to get a good result because I set my own criteria for choosing a clinic and visited about 9 places for consultations. To be honest, I think luck also played a part lol
Before looking into clinics and getting consultations, since it involved putting a knife to my body, I studied at least what kind of surgery it was, how it was performed, and what side effects there could be. I learned that there are different types of eyes, and that surgical methods are divided depending on the type. At first, I thought everyone just became handsome or pretty if they simply went under the knife…
After studying like that, I made a list of questions about things I was curious about or confused about, and while going around to consultations at clinics, I asked diligently, listened to the answers, and built up information. I think it took about 3 months. Finally, after narrowing down and narrowing down the clinics, I compressed the list to about 3 places, and at the final clinic, I even had a second consultation before getting surgery.
After the surgery ended, the result was disastrous. It was completely far from the same-day post-op photos I had seen, and my disappointing reflection in the mirror looked like something had gone wrong…
I don’t have a religion and I don’t believe in God, but on the day I came back from surgery, regardless of Christianity or Buddhism, even including Allah, I prayed to every god that exists in this world, “I’ll live kindly from now on, so please just help me this once” lolololololololololololololololol
Honestly, if my eyes turned out wrong, all I could think about was getting revision surgery and then going to the clinic where I had my first surgery and blowing it up.
On day 4, the word “hope” surged in my chest. The swelling was slowly going down, and recovery was happening very quickly. All I could think was, “At least it’ll be average, thank goodness.”
Even after getting the stitches removed, in case it might interfere with natural adhesion, even now, 60 days later, I absolutely do not touch my eyes. Even when washing my face, I wash as if handling a baby.
My basic mindset used to be:
“People just live as they were born, as they naturally look. Why would a man put a knife to his face? Eyebrow tattoo? lol Why would anyone get that kind of thing? Just live as you are.”
“Even managing my hair is annoying. I just grow it and grow it, and once every 2-3 months, only when there’s a really big event or an important appointment, I go to a neighborhood hair salon lol”
“Sunscreen is just a luxury in life. Lotion???? Why would a man apply cosmetics ㅡㅡ What does appearance matter? What matters is what’s inside.”
That was my basic mindset. As I started exercising and became interested in fashion, it became fun to see myself gradually changing. Since I looked for easy things I could do right away, changing my hairstyle and doing skin care like moisturizing cream, sheet masks, and ampoules were the only methods I could immediately do. My skin got better, my hairstyle and fashion changed, I got eyebrow tattooing, and I used every method I could, but there was still a limit.
I had heard that I had good style or a good personality, but I had never heard that I was handsome.
I really agonized over whether to get plastic surgery or not, without exaggeration, tens of thousands of times. I think I did really well to get it.
To people considering plastic surgery, or men who have the same mindset I had.
It’s not a matter of whether you get plastic surgery or not. Take care of yourself. Even handsome people who were already born with good looks manage themselves like crazy, so if we weren’t born with it, shouldn’t we at least manage ourselves so we’re not at the very bottom?
Anyway, life is enjoyable these days ^^
