Eye Surgery Reviews

1 year after revision surgery, from eyes that obviously looked like epicanthoplasty to eyes that blend into my face

My eyes used to look like epicanthoplasty sausage eyes, with a conspicuous Mongolian fold, but now they have completely settled into really natural-looking eyes. Because this surgery was not my first surgery but a revision, I had no choice but to be much more careful from the hospital selection stage, and after worrying for more than 20 years and researching so much, this was the place I decided on. Looking back now, 1 year later, I can say with certainty that it was a choice I do not regret. Before revision surgery, the inner corners of my eyes felt stuffy, and the double-eyelid line looked very separate from my eyes, so I always had no choice but to cover it with heavy makeup haha. Right after the revision surgery, of course I had a lot of worries about how the result would settle, but as time passed, the line gradually softened and naturally blended into the shape of my eyes.In particular, after the revision to lower the line and rotate the axis, the left-right balance became much more stable, so my eyes came to look more comfortable. Now I almost never hear people say that I had double-eyelid surgery, let alone revision surgery; instead, I more often hear that my impression has become softer. Before, I was always conscious that my double-eyelid line might look obvious, but now I can enjoy makeup by changing eyeshadow colors without that worry. Even without makeup, it doesn't look excessive, and when taking photos, I don't have to worry about angles, so it's much more comfortable.Since it was revision surgery, the recovery process required patience, but now that I'm 1 year post-op, I feel that the wait was not a waste at all. I also think steadily keeping up with post-op care definitely helped. Overall, I feel this was a revision case that changed my eyes from looking obvious to looking refined in a way that suits my face.In the end, I am very satisfied, and it is a revision surgery that I like more as time passes.
